Administrative and Constitutional Law Department

The attorneys of the department specialize in drafting legal opinions in the fields of administrative and constitutional law, preliminary applications or petitions to relevant government bodies, as well as filing administrative petitions to the High Court of Justice, in both the field of administrative law and the field of constitutional law.

The Department has vast experience in working with various governmental bodies, including government offices, governmental and statutory corporations, municipalities, the IDF, and the State Attorney.

The department is credited for its many achievements in the fields of defending individual and civil rights, handling various matters before the government authorities, and promoting legislation and secondary legislation.

The firm is proud to have achieved several precedent-setting victories in the field of administrative law. Some of our prominent cases include: opening the non-prescription drugs market to sale outside of pharmacies, the struggle against the pirate gas stations, the struggle against dilution of gasoline, a municipal council’s struggle against environmental hazards, a claim against the invalidation of Kosher Certifications for reasons of religious beliefs, defending the rights of the settlers in Har Ha’Negev region, a struggle against marketing (legal) gambling games to minors, a struggle against dismissal of IDF officers and denial of their socials rights, a claim against discrimination and denial of freedom of religion to groups renting public spaces, the Israeli Physiotherapy Society’s struggle for the creation of residency spots for all of the physiotherapy students, and more.

Handling entry visas to Israel, working visas for foreign workers, petition in accordance with Law of Freedom of Information, citizenship procedures, planning and zoning procedures, representing private and public clients before the Ministry of Interior Committees, representing municipalities in legal procedures.

Representation of commercial firms and associations in the Knesset committees, contacting the enforcement authorities and the public prosecutor in order to encourage enforcement of existing rules, promotion of bills.

 

Representation of students and their families before the Ministry of Education and municipalities, representing educators before the Ministry of Education and its branches.

 

Representation of commercial firms and associations in the committees of health, welfare and labor in the Knesset, representation of organizations, including municipalities and green organizations against polluting bodies, contacting the enforcement authorities and the public prosecutor in order to encourage enforcement of existing rules.

 

Comprehensive and professional legal support in planning and development proceedings, such as: submitting requests for permits, submitting objections, appeals and administrative petitions, handling claims regarding planning damages and expropriation, before all necessary courts and before the planning and development committees, appeals committees, Administrative Affairs Courts and the Supreme Court.
